At LIFE 20/20, we help organizations and leaders align culture, behavior, and strategy to achieve measurable outcomes in education, mental health, and youth development. Drawing on decades of multi-sector experience—including federal service, corporate consulting, and nonprofit leadership—we deliver solutions that are strategic, human-centered, and culturally responsive.
History & Evolution
LIFE 20/20 was founded in response to a cultural shift in values observed in the late 1990s. Three colleagues at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) envisioned a boutique consulting firm that combined social responsibility, business acumen, and leadership expertise. Our intention was to extend the benefits of health, hope, and healing to everyone, especially vulnerable and marginalized populations.
The firm launched with a focus on consulting and research, later adding training and outreach, and has since expanded its team, client base, and impact. What has remained constant is our commitment to connecting culture, behavior, and lifestyle to outcomes that matter — through events, products, programs, and consulting services.
Originally established through federal contracts with the U.S. Office of Minority Health Resource Center and the U.S. National Library of Medicine, LIFE 20/20 continues to serve grantees, government agencies, schools, and international partners. We envision this expansion to soon include U.S. military bases and embassies.

Our Strategic Practice Areas
Behavioral & Social Impact
Focus: Mental health, social-emotional learning, MTSS frameworks
We help schools, clinicians, and youth-serving professionals strengthen behavioral, social, and emotional systems. Our evidence-based strategies integrate music, media, and cultural expression to enhance engagement, learning, and wellness in culturally responsive ways. By combining applied research with human-centered approaches, we support measurable outcomes that improve academic, social, and emotional growth.
Learning & Product Design
Focus: Curriculum, licensing, culturally responsive tools
We design and license educational products and tools that merge history, culture, and lifestyle with evidence-based learning. Our customizable solutions equip educators and practitioners with practical, youth- and family-centered resources that foster meaningful engagement and measurable learning outcomes. Each product reflects our philosophy of bridging strategy, culture, and innovation.
Program Strategy & Implementation
Focus: Evidence-based programs, music/media interventions
Our signature programs, delivered by trained providers in schools, community centers, and clinical settings, use music and media mindfulness to promote critical thinking, creative expression, and informed decision-making. This culturally responsive approach deepens engagement and supports healthier choices, stronger competencies, and measurable impact for children, youth, and families.

Theoretical Framework
Cultivation theory posits that repeated exposure to media influences beliefs about the real world over time. Social Learning Theory posits that people learn from one another - especially influential others - and that learning is achieved via observing, imitating, and modeling behavior that is positively rewarded.
